After dinner at the West End last night, we were both in the mood for a pallet-cleansing dessert. (Me in the mood for dessert?) Conveniently enough, Gelato Bacio (bacio means “kiss” in Italian) was located just across the street at 1021 Pearl. The sweet little local joint is owned by David Cohen and Mike O’Brien of Spruce Confections and features delectable flavors that are all homemade from local ingredients. (Update: As of February 2009, Gelato Bacio is now called Two Spoons and specializes in warm and cold delights!)
When we were sufficiently sweetened, it was off to Bacaro* for two glasses of wine before pedaling home for the evening…have I mentioned that I love Boulder?

*Wine isn’t the only great offering at Bacaro…Jack and I had an amazing dinner there just last week!
